Did you mean terrifying? A derivative of terrific? I mean, when the plane runs out of fuel and falls from the sky, does it fall forever since there is no land to catch it? What do the survivors eat in the meantime? Will the sequel be a cannibal movie? Will everyone be eaten raw since there is no stove on an airplane and raw meat doesn't do well in microwaves. If everyone on the plane dies before it runs out of fuel, will it just go around in circles? I have so many questions!
Terrific and terrifying at the same time I think. But I'd rather not think too much about it because I'm currently replying to your comment while I'm in a jet somewhere over the Pacific. (Seriously.)
Fun story, Bill. As a former airline employee, I can assure you that gate agents never work as flight attendants or vice versa. But this is fiction, correct? 🤣
I worked for two airlines over 27 years. Midway and Northwest. Both went bankrupt. I don't think I caused it. But who knows? 😂 At Midway I was a ticket agent, gate agent, and ramp agent. At Northwest, I just worked the ramp (loading/unloading airplanes, etc.) which was my preference. People are pain to deal with.
If his position in the plane was part of the reason why he went into the future, then it was a good thing that he didn’t switch seats with that little girl.
Okay, now I'll really never fly again! Looks like the virus beat the Langoliers.
The Langoliers is a terrific movie!

No way! Hope you brought lots of snacks! The ones in vending machines would be WAAAY old.
Whoa! That was transporting. Karma is at its best. I would like to know more about what happened! Excellent read Bill
Thank you very much. I'm delighted you enjoyed the story.

Thanks, Mark. I'm glad you enjoyed Flying First Class.
I didn't know you worked for an airline. That's cool!
We'll know in a few months if this story is fiction. ;-)

That's amazing!
People are...well, that's why we like writing, yes? If there's somebody we don't like in our stories, we make bad things happen to them. 🤣
We are in control! 🤣
I hope so :).
Thanks, as usual, amazing! Did you write it while in the air, before, or after? I‘ve been in 1A once, with PanAm, as a teen (-,
Thanks, Eduardo. I wrote this story after a flight, but I'm writing this reply while on JAL over North America en route to NYC. I'm not in 1A. :)
Nice how you were able to squeeze the JLC Moonphase in!
That's one of the greatest watches ever made.
No argument there but I prefer the Reverso Dual Face…
Hope that your flight is a little less eventful!
Thank you. I'm flying JAL, so I know it will be a pleasant flight.
I just enjoy bad stuff happening to perks. 😁
Jerks. Ha!
Me, too, very much so.
Reminds me of the story by stephen king, what's the name? The creatures that eat time...the Langoliers!
The Langoliers is a great Stephen King story! I enjoyed the movie, too.
Always a chilly, thrilly conclusion!
Thank you, Elyse.
