Maybe it was her third knee that made her so tempting. 🤣 Those AI art generators do some weird stuff.

Everyone has their weaknesses. Steven had his, too.

Yup. I would have tossed that card in the first trash can I came to after I got off the plane. Keeping it was just asking for trouble.

Me, too. Some souvenirs are a bad idea.

Enjoyed this one too! Everyone should be allowed a fantasy.

Nothing wrong with a good fantasy - even a sustained fantasy. Might not want to leave evidence hanging around that make it look real?

Fantasies fuel us.

Thanks, Gail. I'm still working on this story in my mind, even though it's finished.

"I'm a sex worker."

"Oh."

I loved his response here. Perfect.

Thank you Sharron. I had fun writing this story and I'm delighted you liked it and this dialog.

I think Steven may google that email one day when he's been caught too many times having a calling girl's card in his wallet. sin and temptation can lead to a dire future. A good read I wish there was more to this story. It ended too soon.

I'm glad you enjoyed Crossing the Line. I sometimes write sequels and this may one of those stories with a part II.

This was a tough read; well composed, Bill! Truly, great job, well done.

Thank you, Jenise. It was a hard story to write as well and I'm glad you liked Crossing the Line.

Of course, he would forget the email and number over time ... LOL

I really enjoyed this story. Marriage ... temptations ... You portrayed Kim as the perfect wife who pushed the husband to stray ... is that your intention?

I'm glad you enjoyed Crossing the Line.

I wasn't sure where it would go, so I let the characters play out the story. I think they're both trying hard to be good and especially good to each other, but in this incident --and probably many other times-- have to deal with unplanned temptations.

Dr. Fred Nour, a neurologist who wrote the book “True Love: How to Use Science to Understand Love”, said that intense romantic attraction will last two to three years for most people before fading away. This isn’t to say that you stop loving the person, but the hyper passionate, heart racing, butterflies-in-stomach feeling will disappear after some time for the majority of couples. People don’t want those feelings to vanish, no matter how natural it is for that to happen. I think that may be the reason why some people cheat. To experience that relationship high again.

It's like a rollercoaster. (Maybe.) The first time you ride a particular rollercoaster it's terrifying. The second time, maybe less, and by the 100th ride, it feels like nothing. So what do you do? You ride another coaster for more thrills.

Some people will take comfort in that first rollercoaster being pleasant and familiar, but not everyone will.

I suggest you add the word "apparently" to your last sentence. Before your wife reads the comments.... ha ha ha

Interesting. Unlike most of your other stories this one is completely plausible, possible, and most likely happens every day.

Thanks, Scott. Crossing the Line is more Earth-bound than my stories that take place in outer space.

Relationships are fun to write about. People are complicated and I like exploring those complications.
