So were they really dead or fake dead by magic? Either way, I wouldn’t want to battle dark shadows.

This makes me want to write a tale with a wizard. 🤓

Thank you, Sharron. Fear can be more powerful in short tales because that's how it often happens in real life: a unexpected noise, a bat swooping down unexpectedly, a door creaking at night.
