Love the whole idea that fear of a violent death gives the writer that extra boost to their imagination!

Love that Jackie Brill took it a step too far!🤣

What a fun story, Bill! Marlowe is on my desk at all times. "Was this the face that launch'd a thousand ships, And burnt the topless towers of Ilium..." one of my most favourite lines from his work. I second what Patrick said, take it at your own pace!

Good call on taking it slower. I love your stories, Bill. But what I would love more, is for you continue at a pace that doesn't make you explode! Speaking of that, I don't write with pens but after reading this, I'm going make an "exploding pencil" label for my Mitsubishi Uni. We'll see if it works :-D <3

If Emily was such a good alchemist, how come she couldn't save Christopher's life before he died in a sword fight in 1593?

Re: the publication schedule- do what works. I only publish when I feel up to it or if I have something of merit.

I was worried where this was going for a minute or two -- the whole writers group thing. Now I worry about why the world is still intact -- or is it an illusion? As for that cat, he/she just wants to be part of the action! (I know this from personal experience with kitties that are now but a memory.)
