Of course, after a while I think the vampires are going to be screwed as well when they run out of food. By the way, many years ago there was an anthology published called “Under The Fang” which had many vampire short stories with the common theme of vampires taking over the world. It’s available in paperback on Amazon. Might want to check it out.
Vampires are not just powerful, immortal creatures, but they're pretty smart, too. All that accumulated knowledge from many millennium of walking the Earth.
I'll check out Under the Fang. It sounds like my kind of story anthology.
Thank you, Bill, for your kindness in adding 🍁Leaves to your list of recommendations! I have six subscriptions now from your reader base. I appreciate you so much!
How did you find out about us?
The internet...before it no longer worked.
Loved the Dublin & “Temple Bar” connection!!
Dublin is one of my favorite places to be.
Loved the structure of this story, Bill. How neat that you set it up is as a scientific paper. And the conclusion was perfect!
Thanks, Justin. It's true: During all my free time I read scientific papers. ;-)
I"m glad you enjoyed How Not to Kill a Vampire.
Brilliant! I love that you wrote this as a scientific paper.
Thank you, Dascha. Vampires continue to defy science.
“Conclusions: We’re screwed.” Love it!

Scientific papers in the real world need to be as interesting to read as this.
That's for sure!
Well, that's definitely an oh shit end to the story! Great job.
Thanks, Patricia. I had fun writing How Not to Kill a Vampire and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Assuming these vampires need to drink human blood to survive, the monsters will eventually starve to death when all of humanity is wiped out. Hooray?
Unless the vampires develop an immunity to starvation. Then I guess they’ll just be immortal forever.
Vampires are mysterious creatures, perhaps beyond our comprehension.
This is a brilliant piece of writing, Bill, very cleverly orchastrated. I am very impressed.
Thanks, Jilly. I'm happy the way How Not to Kill a Vampire turned out and am delighted you enjoyed it. Thanks for your encouraging words.
Nice one. Blade is going to be pissed about them Daywalkers messing up the food chain supply!
Thanks, Alexander. Blade is on my to-watch list.
Loved it!
