Ah, so this is the reason for your recent tweet, Bill. I kind of figured we'd see a poison-related story on your Substack fairly soon. And, once again, you did not disappoint.

I get nervous when I research murder how-tos. I hope that by now Google knows I'm a writer looking for facts for a story.

I'm glad you enjoyed Miranda the Plagiarist.

I doubt Miranda will ever stop doing this. Even if she took over the identity of a person with the most exciting life, it still wouldn’t be enough. Humans, for better or worse, are adaptable creatures. Interesting things become mundane if we do it enough times.

Some day, Miranda is going to do everything possible and she’ll still grow bored. And when that happens, she won’t be able to plagiarize herself some inner peace.

Will Miranda get more powerful? Or will she slip into the mundane and become nothing more noticeable than a shadow? It's hard to know with creatures that come from another realm.

She may get more powerful, but I doubt it will be infinite growth. It could be a bell curve, where she peaks and then becomes more and more mundane until she's hardly anything at all.

I like creatures that walk the Earth who are both human and not. They're a great mystery.
