Nice traditional take on the fair folk! One of the things that makes them so creepy is that they could mess up your life just because they feel like it. Sure, you could get in their good graces or actively anger them, but there’s not much you could do if they decided to mess you up for no reason.
Thanks to a friend, I discovered that sometimes just typing in string of nouns and adjectives without any connecting verbs makes the best pictures. I didn't do any touch ups. That picture came from: slippery antique catzilla fractal blossoming mirror owl.
I love Midjourney. I am working on a book where I used Midjourney, with Jim t.'s help) to create the cover. That's my process. I create a cover, then write the book based on that. It's my go-to prompt.
Another fun one. Leprechauns are such fun characters for stories. Like how you worked it in to give the "gift" which is more of a curse - I'm sure Moira would agree.
Thanks, Dan. I'm glad you enjoyed Moira. I've always thought that leprechauns were fun and fascinating, but I'm also glad I've never crossed paths with one.

They're not human, but they sure act that way sometimes. ;-)
I live in the city to avoid leprechauns, but I know that they can visit here, too, when the want.
You have quite the imagination! Another very enjoyable short story!
Thank you, Donna. I'm glad to hear you say that. The Book No One Can Read is one of my favorites.
Another great one with a twist!
Thank you, Christina!
Is you pic AI generated by any chance? It's beautiful.
It is. I created this art with Midjourney.
Oh. Would you mind telling me what prompts you used? Or if you did some touch-ups after? Mine don't come out that well by themselves.

No way, Dude! I gotta try your method! Thanks!

I have no drawing skills, so Midjourney's a big help for me.
That’s a good twist. As they say, hell hath no fury like that of a scorned woman. My only question is what was the third symbol Moira was wearing?
A good read very interesting Bill. I may have to read it again when I get off work.
Thank you. I enjoyed writing Moira and I'm glad you liked reading it.
I agree. Coffee and Adler work well together!
Thank you, Jim!
Thanks. This is a good one. Now I’m awake! Reading this and sipping my coffee got me going this morning. 😉
I'm delighted to hear that, Caro.
