Now obviously I don't know Stephen King personally (I wish I did because he seems cool) but when I got to the end of this story, I was torn between thinking "Stephen King would never do that" and "Stephen King would TOTALLY do that".
Either way, it gave me a good chuckle. Not only because of that great last line but also because of typical Stephen King story traits, like "family from Maine" and "six-hundred-and-ninety-eight page hardcover". Honestly, how does he write so much?
Short and shocking! Well written. So much in so few words. Well done to you Bill. One Steve King fan to another - couldn't have written it better myself. I totally get it!
Thanks Jilly. It took a long time to write this very short story. I went through a dozen drafts before I pressed the publish button. I love Stephen King!
I have my personal Stephen King several weeks already - it's you Bill. I know one day you autograph your book for me. I can't wait to see you on that day, and chat about your short stories.
Red Smith, the Pulitzer Prize winning sports writer, is said to have remarked, “There's nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and open a vein.”
Now we know why the ink you bought was so expensive.
Lately, I've been using Diamine Writer's Blood Ink. It's the best I can do.
Unexpected.. but pointed!
Thanks, Deirdre. I had fun writing Stephen King's autograph.
Nice
Thanks! This is one of my favorites. I'm glad you enjoyed Stephen King's Autograph.

Great story. And that would be a million dollar pen. I really like his stories, and love his politics

Thanks so much, Stefan. I like writing, talking about writing, and would enjoy chatting with you about both writing and Stephen King. King's a master.
Bloody writers. 😉

Loved it! What a life experience that would have been. 😀
I wish I were the main character in this story. I'm glad you liked Stephen King's Autograph.
This was great!
Thanks, Kathleen. I'm delighted you enjoyed Stephen King's Autograph.
Thanks. I'm glad you liked Stephen King's autograph.
But, right? How does Stephen King write so much so quickly and so well? He's...haunted?
Thanks so much. I really had fun with this story and I'm glad you liked it. I'm a big Stephen King fan, too.
