Clever little tale with an even cleverer idea. It reminds me of a book called ZARDOS published back in the 80s, where a character called Friend warns an enemy "You have heard the saying Looks Can Kill! Well, here they can!"
Words have been my work for 50 years (as teacher then preacher) and I have seen the power of insult wreak this sort of havoc just as effectively in the lives of individuals and communities Too many dismiss it with "Sticks and stones…" but you've got to the nub of it.
