I felt like I was in that bar. Wonderful descriptions of the whole event. I don't know what antediluvian means, but I'm not going to look it up because I just like the way it sounds 😁

As a former radio dj, who slipped more than once with one of the 7 naughty words, I love absolutely this story. My favorite was at the end of Who Are You by The Who, “hey. I didn’t know he said f&$k there!” The world did not end.

I've long been fascinated by banned words. I thought, how bad can they be?

I love The Who. Who Are You is a great song.

tangent meets tangent and some other wierdness too. not sure it all jives but i do like the part where the world is collapsing on account of not bleeping some irrelevance.

I like reading weird story, but when I run out of strange stories to read, I write them. I have a similar story to this one you might enjoy, Gerald Gray's To-Do List: https://billadler.substack.com/p/gerald-grays-to-do-list.

Interesting reading, short but enough to make you want to read more

Thanks, Maureen. I sometimes write sequels to my stories and may write one for The Bleeper.

I imagine that the first time a swear word/curse was heard on the media it must have had a similar energetic effect. Now, the F-word is normal, along with all the other bleep-able words. Of course to us Irish it always was but I’m glad you all are catching up. 😀 A great story, and thought-provoking!

Thanks, Ann. It's funny to see how people react to swear words. I had fun exploring this. I'm glad you enjoyed The Bleeper.

I wasn’t expecting that. I guess words are powerful after all. 😉

If it worked that way we would be goners. Have you listened to the January 6 Committee hearings. Lots more slips through

Oh yes. The words are out there! We'd better be careful. ;-)

Enjoyed it! Your build-up is always well done.

No one person should have that much responsibility. A back up or team should work at such an important job if it means the end of the world when a mistake is made.

Thank you, Gail. I'm glad you like The Bleeper.

Cost-cutting and all that, so just one bleeper per show. On reflection that wasn't the place to cut costs.
