I'm glad you enjoyed The Book No One Can Read. The publication where it originally appeared publishes stories of up to 500 words, so I had to condense a lot into a small space. It would be fun to recast this story as a longer tale.
Good ending for a spoiled brat, Bill. Castles, dragons, dangerous magicians. You left me hoping for the moat. And me riding off, the knight in shining armor to save the kingdom from whatever danger my imagination desired. I always have to keep coming back to your archive, as far back as I want, to thoroughly enjoy one of your fascinating stories again...and again...and again... Rudolph Ferro, rferro0322@gmail.com
This left me with a wry smile on my lips.
I'm glad to hear that, Miriam.
No words..both stories where great.I really enjoy reading them
Thank you, Pauline.
WOW, liked that….
Thank you, Janice. I'm glad you enjoyed The Beginning of the End.
I liked that.
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed the story.
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed the story.
Short, but enjoyable. Could easily be the start of a novel following the princess in the book's story. And perhaps her escape.
No escape - she seems like an unlikeable, demanding person!
I'm tempted to expand this story into a novella.
Why not?
I need more time to write and I'm not sure I can squeak any more out of my sleep quota.
Brilliant!
Thank you!
Interesting as always! Thanks for sharing your gift of writing. 😀👍
Thanks, Gail. I'm happy you enjoyed The Book No One Can Read.
This is great Bill. My only comment would be that it could be longer - maybe even a novel. It is such a brilliant idea!

I’d love to read that longer tale! I truly enjoy your short fiction, but can imagine your word power in a longer story! 😀
I think I should write a longer story. :) I'll do that. Thanks, and I'm glad you enjoyed The Book No One Can Read.

Thanks, Rudolph. Castles inspire me. There's a not of mystery there, and I enjoy exploring it. More is coming.
Wow , unexpected
Thanks, Alahna. I had fun writing The Book No One Can Read.
Really enjoyable short story, Bill … she got exactly what she deserved for being such an assuming, rude person!
