Poor Cecily having to give birth to those creatures. I didn't expect that last twist. I wonder what kind of creature will come out of Kay? The wife accusing the husband of forgetting played out accurately, at least from my experience. It's hard to prove you didn't do something. Skillful job of using the dropping temperature to foreshadow doom. I liked Julian's outfit. It is appropriate for some kind of evil master. Gee, all of that and I added a new word to my vocabulary. You know which one I mean.
The lesson I learned from writing this story is that when you have a strange neighbor, maybe move? Julian is one of my favorite evils because he does so much by seeming to do so little.
Always knew that there was something odd about Julian...
We've all had a Julian next door at one time in our lives. The question is: Is the neighbor strange or from another realm?
Meanwhile, us Julians have always had a Stuart and Kay next door to take advantage of!
You have the best part of the system.
Oh My God, Mr Adler! I am afraid to read your next story now. They just get weirder and weirder... where will it end?
Thank you Sharron! I'm glad you liked The Cat. There's time for one more spooky story before Halloween, yay!
Gee, thanks for the warning... I better put on my big-girl pants
What a great story, Bill. And tatterdemalion is a wonderful word!
Thank you, Dascha!
Aww… he’s chunky
Lots of fur and flesh to ward away winter's cold.
Whew! Really great building the tension .
Thank you, Ruth. I'm glad to hear that.
Your mind is getting weirder than ever!
Thank you, Deirdre!
Julian is up to something sinister. Excellent story. Enjoyed it from start to finish.
Thank you very much, John. I'm delighted you enjoyed The Cat.
lol, Poor Kay....to be continued........
Something's coming. I think we should find out.
Wow, great story! I loved that line, “hands on her hips, forming two angry triangles.” Such a fun read and I definitely did not see the ending coming!
Thank you, Michelle. I'm glad you enjoyed "The Cat" and the surprise ending.
Making the most of the Season of Spookiness, my friend. VERY imaginative stuff!
Thank you. This is the season for spooky and for cats to be as scary as they want to be.
This felt so trippy, almost like a dream! What a wild but gripping story!
Thank you, Bekah!

A feline Rosemary’s Baby. Good story!
Thank you. I was thinking about Rosemary's Baby as I wrote this.
Creepy stuff.
Thank you, David. Creepy can't be helped during the spooky season. :)
Ditto the comments! And descriptions of cat like half napping half monitoring sets the creep factor. Purr
Thank you, Elyse. Cats often defy description, and I'm glad I got the words right.
This is Halloween time all right... I felt my fur standing up!
Thank you, Martine. I like this season of spooky tales.
