Wonderful. The abducted 19th century folks reacted as I suspected they would.

I subscribe to various short story keywords through Talkwalker, and this story came up saying that if I liked "The Umbrella Man," then I would like "The Ferris Wheel." Since I just read Roald Dahl's "The Umbrella Man" the other day, and I'm not one to argue with an algorithm that can personally suggest short stories, I clicked.

Turns out "The Umbrella Man" was not what I thought, but "The Ferris Wheel" turned out to be a fun adventure anyway! This has to be the must curious way I've discoved an author yet, but you've got yourself another subscriber :)

Hi Lisa, I like your story adventure, which sounds like it could become a short story itself. Thanks for subscribing. (I'm going to check out Talkwalker.)

Bless you, Bill! I heard this morning that a good old friend has cancer. Don't know the details yet, but reading your story this afternoon is making my heart swell with hope. It's only 2023, but I'm praying ....
