A short story
I'm 72 and I never stopped believing.
That's the best way to be.
This one made me smile. It's a lovely thought.
Thank you, Tree. The Lost Explorer is one of my favorite stories and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Aw this is such a cute Christmas story. At first, when you were describing Elkkorr, I thought he would turn out to be a gnome and give rise to a new race. Santa always seemed more gnome-like than elf-like to me.
Thank you, Virginia. I had fun writing this story. Santa is mysterious and I think that's part of the delight.
Happy holidays and I hope you have a wonderful New Year.
Same to you, my friend.
Great Christmas story!!
Thank you, Loel. I'm delighted you enjoyed The Lost Explorer.
Love it!
Thanks, Christina. This is one of my favorites. I'm glad you like The Lost Explorer.
Sci-fi Santa! Of course Santa is an alien, how else would he be able to deliver all those toys so quickly?
It makes 100% sense to me and explains a lot! :)
And the truth is finally revealed! “Here comes Elkkorr, here comes Elkkorr...” Good fun!
Thanks, Mark. The song doesn't sound so bad this way, either.
I'm glad you enjoyed The Lost Explorer.
I loved this origin story!
Thanks, Jason. I wore a big smile when I finished writing it. I'm glad you enjoyed The Lost Explorer.
A super read for this time of year!!
Thank you, Deirdre.
Really enjoyed this. Great story and a lovely little twist.
Thanks so much, Chris. I wore a smile when I finished writing this story.
Nice. Very nice. Well worth a read.
This is an amazing story, Bill - perfect for this time of year! I loved every word. The first paragraph pulled me right in.
"...the memory of his wife’s soft lips gone like sugar dissolved in water." (Who's cutting onions around here??)
Thanks for the Santa image, Bill. A comforting ending to a melancholy tale.
