Yes, Bill, freedom. If I had ever had a cell phone, I believe it would be as hard to give up as heroin. It is so easy to live without a smart phone IF you have never owned one and made it a huge part of your life. I feel bad for people who can't even take their dog for a walk without having a phone in their hand. They miss so much, I think. I have nothing against cellphones, to each their own! I just don't need one.
I don’t like the terms Dribble (gross, that’s for babies, old people, or basketballs) or Drabble to describe stories. I just call them 50 or 100-word microfiction. Although, I think I like your “A 100-word story” best. I will probably steal that. 🤓
I enjoyed The Man With No Phone very much. Especially because of the microscopic size saying so much, so well. Keep sending them whenever you like, Bill. Rudy rferro0322@gmail.com
How you can tell a good story and make sure it is exactly 100 words long is beyond me. Good job! Also, you’re early. Wasn’t expecting anything from you on a Thursday.
Thank, Scott. I thought a 100-word story was too short for my regular story, so I decided to pop it in midweek. I'm glad you enjoyed The Man with No Phone.
Hey, I was born in 1980, and I have no phone...and I like it like that.
Cool. I was born in... well ... way before 1980 and I have no phone either. Are we rebels? Or Luddites? Who cares! It is a free country. ( I think...)
The No Phone Club! It feels like freedom.
Have to say, I almost vanished when I gave up my phone. It felt nice. Happy to join this rebel club.
I think that's three commentators so far on this story who don't use a cell phone, more than I imagined.
Welcome to the phoneless world.
No phone is amazing! It can be done, too.
In Japan, you can use your phone to pay for the train, but because my phone is from the US and doesn't have the special Japan chip, I can't.
Loved this, what a twist.
I loved this, too!
I'm happy! Thank you, Sharron.
Thank you. :)

Slick move, Jerry.

I want Jerry's ability.
That said, yes, drabble and dribble--not so great.
Loved this, Bill! My wife and I went and saw “Some Like it Hot” on Broadway yesterday, so this was a timely and fitting tale!
Thanks, Justin. I'm glad you liked this short short. Timing is magic?
It really is!
Loved it! I will never leave home without my phone! 😂🤣
I'd rather forget my shoes than my phone.
I'm glad you liked The Man with No Phone, Christina.
Too much fun.
Thank you, Rachel!

Thank you, Rudolph, for your kind words.
I publish every Sunday, but now and then will be publishing a short short midweek.
Lol. Nailed it.
Thanks, Charlotte!
Loved no phone! Why is that story a Drabble but you. Skied the “blanket” one a “ Centina??
Thank you Deirdre. I'm glad you like this little tale.
I used to call 100-word stories centinas, but I think drabble is a more established word, so I've switched back.
Morpheus must have gotten to Jerry.
Exactly. Loved the phones in the Matrix. :)
I loved it! Especially as I no longer have a cell phone
Thanks, Maryam! I'm very happy you liked The Man with No Phone. (Sometimes I forget mine, but I try not to worry too much about that.)
Very cool!
Thank you, Jim.
Really enjoyed that Bill. Great last line too 👍🏼
Thanks, Daniel. It took a while to carve the sentences in this story, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Go Jerry! I am right behind you! Great story, Bill.
