The reading of this story is a story in itself. I read it while hubby was in another part of the house doing something. I laughed heartily at the mention of two universes. I laughed harder at the mention of multiverses. I continued laughing as I saw that all the officials were women, thinking I knew where Bill was going with this. Hubby, curious at what I found so funny, came in. I read the story to him. When we got to the end, we both laughed until tears streamed down our cheeks (facial, that is). Again a surprise ending. Woohoo! And hubby LOVES that last line in the story!
This is so different, Bill. I love how the government is more of a matriarchy. That's a neat twist. And that they don't seem to have men around...at all! Even better! A really great, twisted kind of story on so many different fronts. And these things are all over the planet?

I noticed that the executives in the universe are all women. So the U.S. is a matriarchy in that one? That's probably why they refer to "non-women".
