Cool, Bill. Another bizarre tale. But, um, do you by any chance have the address of the market that sells only ice cream? I am asking for a friend.

Thanks, Sharron. I like reading and writing stories that distort reality. But wouldn't it be nice if reality included supermarkets that replaced the veggie section with ice cream?

Lots of Alice in Wonderland atmosphere in this piece - a more adult, urban, somewhat spooky kind of alice. Definitely the sort of story that would work great as an animation.

Thank you, Sam. I enjoy creating textured places where the unreal becomes real.

Liked the idea of him being dear but his brain 🧠 living on!! A bit like the Steve Martin film “the man with 2 brains”

4066 types of ice cream? They have Dairy Queen and Baskin-Robbins beat.

Personally, I'm okay with just chocolate and pistachio, but I understand the allure of so many different flavors.

Great start -- I read the first few paragraphs on my phone and couldn’t wait to get back to it, but the rest of the story didn’t live up to the beginning. Seems the A.I. thing is like an escape hatch when a writer just wants to get out of the story. So they write: ”and then I woke up.” Sorry-- I usually love your stuff.

Thanks, Stu. I enjoy playing with themes and characters. Sometimes they lead me to unexpected places.

I include a link to another story at the end of every story with the tag, "If you enjoyed this story, you might also like..." but I've been tempted to change that to "If you didn't like this story, you might enjoy..."
