Thanks, Sharron. I like reading and writing stories that distort reality. But wouldn't it be nice if reality included supermarkets that replaced the veggie section with ice cream?
Lots of Alice in Wonderland atmosphere in this piece - a more adult, urban, somewhat spooky kind of alice. Definitely the sort of story that would work great as an animation.
Great start -- I read the first few paragraphs on my phone and couldn’t wait to get back to it, but the rest of the story didn’t live up to the beginning. Seems the A.I. thing is like an escape hatch when a writer just wants to get out of the story. So they write: ”and then I woke up.” Sorry-- I usually love your stuff.
Thanks, Stu. I enjoy playing with themes and characters. Sometimes they lead me to unexpected places.
I include a link to another story at the end of every story with the tag, "If you enjoyed this story, you might also like..." but I've been tempted to change that to "If you didn't like this story, you might enjoy..."
Cool, Bill. Another bizarre tale. But, um, do you by any chance have the address of the market that sells only ice cream? I am asking for a friend.

Thank you, Sam. I enjoy creating textured places where the unreal becomes real.
That ending creeped me out.
Thank you, Patricia. That's what I was hoping for. ;-)
Liked the idea of him being dear but his brain 🧠 living on!! A bit like the Steve Martin film “the man with 2 brains”
Thank you, Deirdre. Sometimes those incredibly vivid dreams make us feel like we'll never leave them.
Aiiieee! Took me awhile to get here, Bill, but I'm glad I did. Eek.
Eek is a joyful reaction, considering the story. Thanks!
Surreal!!! I loved it👌❤️
Thank you, Julie.
Great story, thanks.
Thank you, Colin.
Wow! Reminds me of a horror story!
Thank you, Christina. It's a but spooky in that place for sure!
4066 types of ice cream? They have Dairy Queen and Baskin-Robbins beat.
Personally, I'm okay with just chocolate and pistachio, but I understand the allure of so many different flavors.
Wow. Better than surreal.
Thanks, Miriam. I'm happy you enjoyed Which Way Do I Look?
Oooo a Twilight Zoneish sort of story. 😁
Thank you, Kim. I love The Twilight Zone.
